Se inicia profesionalmente en la música con el grupo Pianogrosso (dueto de piano y voz). En 1987 se edita el disco de standards titulado Bliss. Al año siguiente crea su propio grupo: Laura Simó & Conrad Setó Sound con Lluís Atance al bajo y David Simó a la batería. En octubre de 1988, el grupo representa a España en la categoría de jazz, dentro del Festival Mars International, en París. Sidsel Endresen (nacida el 19 de junio 19 de 1952 en Noruega) es una cantante de jazz. Ha trabajado en géneros musicales diversos aparte del jazz, incluyendo música clásica contemporánea y "performances" multimediales, colaborado con poetas noruegos y trabajado extensivamente la voz como instrumento solista. A native of the Pas-de-Calais, Anne Ducros began her classical training (musical and vocal) at the conservatory of Boulogne-sur-Mer with Lyne Durian. Then while studying law at the University of Lille, she completed and refined her vocal skills under the tutelage of Yuri Anoff and Maddy Mespley. Afterward she studied baroque music in a course at the University, including Couperin, Twig and Bach. She was first introduced to vocal jazz in 1986. Esperanza Spalding (born 1984 in Portland, Oregon) is an American jazz bassist and singer.Spalding was raised by her mother, who had nearly become a touring singer as well. Her mother signed her up for music classes early; Spalding played the violin, oboe, and clarinet before picking up the bass in high school. Spalding first attended the Portland public schools and later left to be homeschooled, but returned at 15. She had originally played the violin but switched to the double bass in high school when "bored musically"; she picked up the instrument in her high school music classroom and immediately began improvising on it. Jihye Lee started to learn jazz at the Seoul Jazz Academy in South Korea where she also obtained a basis in classical as well as traditional singing technique. She obtained a bachelor degree in The Hague, where she studied mainstream jazz and bebop. She started to work on her own compositions influenced by traditional jazz, funk, Korean traditional music, free improvising music and modern art. In June 2008 she finished her master study at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels. In 2007 she participated in the 3rd edition of Brussels International Young Jazz Singers Competition and had an honor to win the first prize and the prize of public. Betty Roche (09 de enero de 1920) fue criada en Atlanta City y trasladada a New York en 1939, la cantante Betty Roche, perteneció entre 1941 y 1942 al grupo los "Savoy Sultans". En una de sus actuaciones la oyó cantar Duke Ellington, y Betty Roche se convirtió en 1943 en la primera mujer cantante que interpretó la parte del Blues en la suite Black, Brown and Beige, durante un concierto en el Carnegie Hall en 1944. Fuertemente influenciada por Billie Holiday, Lincoln dramatiza sus interpretaciones al estar siempre muy pendiente del significado y sentimiento de las letras que canta.
