The Winners 2008
First Prize "Barbara Bürkle" (Germany)
Barbara started her vocal studies at the Academy for Music in Mannheim. Later, she worked with a.o. jazz singers Sheila Jordan, Judy Niemack, Rachel Gould, Norma Winstone. She toured with several bands (England, Italy, South Africa...) with her own quintet. She won in 2007 the “7th International Choral Ensemble Competition” in Taiwan. She recorded “A tribute to Cole Porter” in 2008.-
